Scope 07 · Orlando & Central Florida

Footing & Foundation Excavation in Orlando, FL

Footing trenches, stem wall runs, thickened edges and pad footings, cut to the dimensions on your foundation plan. A clean, square, flat-bottomed trench is the difference between an inspection that passes and a day lost to hand-cleaning before the inspector will look at it.

What drives the price

We don't price this from a satellite photo or over the phone. We walk the property, look at the access, the ground and the scope, and hand you a written number. What we can tell you here is exactly which variables move it.

01
Linear feet and footing sizeA 16″ × 8″ monolithic edge and a 24″ × 12″ bearing footing are different volumes and different machines.
02
Soil that holds a wallClean Central Florida sand sloughs. Trenches that won't stand up mean forming the sides, which is time you'd rather not buy.
03
How square it has to beMachine-cut and hand-dressed costs more than machine-cut alone — but it's cheaper than a failed inspection.
04
Site access and spoil placementIf the spoil can stay on site, you save the truck entirely. If it can't, every yard leaves by trailer.
05
Depth and water tableBelow the water table you need a pump running and, past 5 feet with people in it, a protective system.
06
What's already in the groundOld footings, buried debris and soft pockets get removed before we cut, and that's a separate line.

Questions

Before you call

Yes. Bring the foundation plan and we cut to it. If a dimension won't work on this lot, you hear it before we start.
That's the standard we work to — square sides, clean flat bottom, correct depth. If the inspector wants something dressed, we come back.
Usually yes, and it's cheaper. We'll tell you where to stockpile it so it doesn't get in the way of the pour.

Tell us what the job is

Pick everything that applies — you can choose more than one. If your job isn’t on the list, take the last option and describe it. If it takes a machine and an operator, it is almost certainly something we do.

What do you need done? Open a category to pick
Pick as many as apply, from as many categories as you need. A lot of jobs are really two or three of these — clear the lot, grade it, haul the debris. That is the point of using one crew.

We rent bare, to contractors, when a machine is idle. Need an operator too? Use the other tab — that’s a job, and it usually costs you less.
